Ingredients:

  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

  2. Add finely chopped onion and green chili to the pan and sauté until the onion turns translucent.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan and sauté for a minute.

  4. Add tomato puree to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomato is cooked and the oil separates.

  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  6. Add heavy cream to the pan and stir well.

  7. Add cubed paneer to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  8. Add garam masala to the pan and stir well.

  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.

Tips:

  • If you don't have fresh tomatoes, you can use canned tomato puree instead.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your taste.
  • You can also add some cashews to the gravy to make it even creamier.
